Gilroy Strong

For more than four decades, the Gilroy Garlic Festival has been more than a local food festival. It's been the glue that pulls this community together the last weekend of July each year. It's in our DNA, it's what makes us so unique, it's what reminds us of what a community is supposed to be.

On behalf of my family and the entire team at PCB Insurance, our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their families following this senseless tragedy that unfolded late Sunday at the Garlic Festival.

Listed below is a post sent out by the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce regarding grief counseling, mental health services and a witness tip line for those affected by what transpired. We live in a fantastic community and together we will rise up from this stronger than before.

On behalf of the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce Staff and Board of Directors, we send our thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families. In light of the tragedy that occurred Sunday, we want to share the following information:

Staff of Rebekah Children's Services and Community Solutions in partnership with the Department of Behavior Health Adult Mobile Crisis Team and Gilroy Unified School District for counseling support, will be at Christopher High School on Monday, July 29, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Their staff will also be at Live Oak High School (Morgan Hill) with Community Solutions staff, Department of Behavioral Health staff, and Morgan Hill Unified School District staff from 8:00am - 3:00pm to provide support to our community and anyone in need.
